In 2008, on a routine visit to see Dr. Samuelson, he discovered a spot on my lip. He discovered this during his routine oral cancer screening exam. On further examination the spot was determined to be malignant. I had the spot removed by my Dermatologist. The Dermatologist stated, if not detected, this would have entered my lymph system. Need I say more?
I would like to thank Dr. Samuelson and staff for his diligence and professionalism, and for possibly preventing the spread of cancer through my system. I highly recommend Dr. Samuelson to anyone who wants professional, gentle and caring dental care.

I just wanted to say I have had bad teeth all my life, my first root canal was at 11 and things went downhill from there. I never went to the dentist for regular checkups because they would always belittle me about my teeth. I brushed and flossed, yet it did no good. My teeth just didn’t hold up. At 52 years of age I had a tooth break off. I needed to bite the bullet so to speak and find a dentist. I saw Black Hills Area Dental’s ad in the in the phone book. What really got my attention was, the ad says they are gentle, I was sold. I called and made and appointment. Dr. Samuelson and his staff made me feel welcome and most of all comfortable. Dr. Samuelson did not belittle me or make me feel bad about myself and my appearance. He told me that today is a new day, a new start and I put my care into his hands, he would do me proud. It is a year later and he is a man of his word, he gave me the smile I lost a long time ago. I am proud to smile now and I have Dr. Samuelson and his whole staff to thank for my new look, my smile. When people look at you they don’t look at your eyes, the first thing they see is your mouth, your teeth. I had such low self-esteem, I would not smile. When someone took a picture of me I had them do it from a distance so no one could see how bad my teeth looked.
